Our Khushru Vakharia has been appointed as Vice President – Magnet Technology Machines (MTM) Division, effective August 21st 2026, following the retirement of R Rajaraman, erstwhile Division Head.

The MTM Division, a part of the company’s Industrial Systems business, offers innovative solutions in permanent magnet technology, including the GreenStar® range of gearless elevator machines that serves customers in India and international markets.

Vakharia brings more than 35 years of rich industry experience across diverse functions and business domains. Over the course of his distinguished career at Bharat Bijlee, he has successfully led several key functions, including Manufacturing, Strategic Planning, Operational Procurement, Plant Engineering, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain Management, and Central Marketing.

Among his notable achievements are the modernization of the Motors Division manufacturing facility, implementation of the Theory of Constraints (TOC) framework to improve efficiency, driving profitability through strategic cost optimization initiatives, and significantly enhancing production performance. He has also played a pivotal role in building and mentoring high-performing teams across functions.

His broad-based experience and deep understanding of the organization position him well to lead the MTM Division in its next phase of growth.
